About Richard Alan Mojares

mojares_richardDr. Richard Mojares has a passion for community health care. He is following the footsteps of his father, Dr. D. Edgardo Mojares Sr., who opened Monmouth County’s first urgent care center in 1981, and practices with him. “I’m expanding my dad’s pioneering concept to reach more patients,” says Dr. Mojares. He opened a primary care office near his urgent care center in Oakhurst and is launching another urgent care location in Toms River this month. He also works with brother Dr. Gregg Mojares and Drs. William Downs and Rebekah Adamczyk.

At Family First Urgent Care, walk-in patients get immediate treatment for injuries and illnesses seven days a week. Dr. Mojares’ practice, with its on-site X-rays and lab, offers tests for strep, flu, pregnancy and drugs—along with school, sports and work physicals. His office treats injuries, work-related and otherwise, with sutures and splints.

Trained in internal medicine and pediatrics, Dr. Mojares provides one-stop health care for a lifetime at Family First Primary Physicians. When a medical crisis arises after hours, patients find familiar faces at Family First Urgent Care, with their medical records on file. “We’re growing the right way, by putting our patients and their families first,” Dr. Mojares says.
