Meet the Team

Melissa Monaghan has been a practicing Physician Assistant for the past 15 years with experience in the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and Internal Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree at Monmouth University in Biology while completing in Division I Track & Field. She then attended Seton Hall University where she earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant.

She started her career at Monmouth Medical Center Emergency Department then joined Family First Urgent Care in 2012. Melissa has been a part of the practice as it grew from one location to five, first as a Provider and for the last several years as the Chief Operating Officer. In her current role, she oversees the operations in both the Urgent Care and Primary Care and has helped launch four of the offices.

Melissa is a mom to two busy kids and in her free time tries to improve her golf game with her husband.
